Wanda Bullen

Wanda is a native to Kent Island and has had an undying passion for doing hair since she was 18 years old and attended beauty school in baltimore at that time.  She lived and worked in California briefly after graduation while her husband was serving in the Navy.  She has been a salon owner on Kent Island for 28 years.  She first opened her doors in 1983 with a small salon in Chester called Wanda's Hairways.  In 1994, Wanda's Hairways and Cissy's Place (from Grasonville) joined forces to open a much larger salon in Stevensville and named it Tangles Hair Studio.  Wanda can't stress enough the importance of continued education and the ability to move with the times and the fashion trends and prides herself in staying current with color and cut techinques to meet the demands of clients of all ages. She attends beauty conferences, workshops, and seminars whenever the oportunity presents itself and has had extensive training with many of the professional color manufacturers, Matrix, Paul Mitchell, and Schwarzkoph just to name a few.  She lives with her husband in Chester, MD.

Jessica Scott
Stylist

Jessica is a Centreville native and has worked in the Kent Island area as a hair stylist for the past 12 years with the last 4 of those years right here at Tangles.  She received her cosmetology trainning from Queen Anne's County High School and is commited to continued education through hair shows, work shops, and conventions.  Color and cutting is her forte and is proven by the hugh clientele she services in the salon everyday.  She has the unique ability to really understand and meet the needs of her clients and is someone they enjoy spending time with during their salon visit.  They leave looking and feeling like a million dollars!  She currently lives with her boyfriend and kids in Centreville, MD. 

Jenny Edwards
Stylist

Jenny has been part of the Tangles Team since 2007.  She is orginally from Queenstown, MD.  She received her cosmetology trainning from Queen Anne's County High School and obtained her licence shortly after graduation in 2003.  Jenny strives for perfection in her work with vary precise haircuts and color work.  She really pays attention to the smallest of details when she's working with a client.  She also attends hair shows on a regular basis to learn about the latest in hair products and new techinques and she always produces exceptional work in the salon.  Her light hearted personality, warm smile and eye of detail is what keeps her clients coming in to see her.  She currently lives in Queenstown, MD with her family.

 Kristin Comegys-Schlinder
Massage Therapist

 Kristin is the salon's massage therapist.  She was born and raised on Kent Isand and graduated from Queen Anne's County High School.  After attending college, she decided to start her career in Massage therapy by attending the Baltimore School of Massage.  After receiving her massage licence in 2008, she joined the Tangles Team and really has build a strong reputation for great massages and excellent customer service.  Kristin continues to broaden her knowledge in this field by attending post graduate courses in massage therapy on a regular basis.  She currently lives in Easton, MD with her husband and daughter.

Angie Monzeglio

Salon Owner 
Senior Cosmetologist

Angie was born and raised right here on Kent Island.  With Wanda (Angie's Mom) as a local salon owner since 1983, Angie has grown up in the salon environment.  Upon graduation from Queen Anne's County High School, Angie obtained her cosmetology license after completion of a 2 year apprenticeship with her mom in 1995. She than attended Salisbury State University and worked in a Salon in Salisbury for the remainer of her college years.  She graduated with a business management degree.  Having a passion for skincare, she returned to school for aestitics in 1999.  Angie rejoined her mom in 2005 to help manage the salon.  She holds many diverse roles in the salon having had extensive trainning and experience in hair, nail, skincare, and makeup services.  The most enjoyable part for her has been performing services for formal events and photography sessions.  She loves doing special occasion work including updos and makeup applications.  Making clients feel beautiful inside and out is what she's all about! She currently lives in Stevensville with her husband and kids.

Joyce McKenzie
Stylist 

Joyce is a recent transplant to the Eastern Shore from Denver , Colorado where she worked most recently as an instructor at the Aveda Institute Denver. A commitment to continued education in cutting and coloring hair has always been of utmost priority for Joyce. She has an extensive resume of employment as an educator and platform artist for many companies including Redken, Framesi and Goldwell to name a few, and has logged more than 1,000 hours of personal continued education throughout her 30+ years as a cosmetologist, color specialist, Director, manager and Salon owner. In addition to possessing a keen eye for the newest color trends and techniques through detailed client consultations (always free of charge), Joyce excels at cutting both short and long hair and men’s hair using a variety of methods – including razor cutting. Joyce also does make-up applications for special events and photography, and the best blow out styling on the Island!

 Angie Blades
Stylist

Angie came to work at Tangles in 2007 and has 18 years of experience in the beauty industry to date.  She knew she wanted to do work in the beauty industry during her high school years, However, Easton High School did not offer a cosmetology program.  After graduation, she attended Delmarva Beauty Academy in Salisbury, MD.  After working in Easton for the first few years of her career, she decided to relocate to Kent Island where she's been for the last 12 years.  Her years of experience and many, many hours spent at various trainning events has given her a broad range of talent and abilities as a skilled cosmetologist and has put her in high demand at the salon.  She has a hugh following of loyal clientele who love not only her work, but also her friendly and easy going personality.  She lives in Cordova, MD with her husband.

Colleen Coleman
Stylist / Nail Technican

 Colleen is our newest member of the Tangles team.  She is orginially from Sudlersville, Md and is a Queen Anne's County High School graduate.  After graduation, Colleen attended Pressley Beauty Academy (a Paul Mitchell partmer school) in Dover, DE and has recently received her cosmetology license and continues to attend educational workshops to further enhance her knowledge and experience level.  Colleen is a raising star with a eye for color and  loves experimenting with custom color placement.  Her trainning on Paul Mitchell color, texture, and haircare products fits perfectly since Tangles is a Paul Mitchell signature salon.  Colleen currently lives in Centreville, Md.
